Thank You, Women’s Giving Circle of Marinette and Menominee Counties!

We recently awarded grants during our Summer Grant Cycle.  The Women’s Giving Circle Restricted Endowment Fund, held at the Community Foundation, awarded $2,500 to Rainbow House Domestic Abuse Services will be used for a new health and wellness initiative for mothers and their daughters.

The Women’s Giving Circle Fund was established when an anonymous donor made a gift to the Community Foundation to support women’s philanthropy. The Fund is designated for the purpose of supporting projects and programs directly impacting women and girls.

Allstate Day of Service

Rainbow House was selected as one of only seventeen projects nationwide to participate in the Allstate Foundation’s Day of Service, coordinated by Common Impact.  On Wednesday, April 6th, a team of nine volunteers from Allstate’s marketing division came together for a full day of community service.  This team developed a high-level marketing plan to guide the work of our latest collaborative project.  A $5,000 grant was offered in support of our initiative as well.  We are working to establish a free, anonymous, and confidential intimate partner abuse prevention helpline, serving Wisconsin adults and teens.

Thank you to Julie Macklem and her team for their incredible contribution to our project!  We were joined by Dr. Strodthoff from Milwaukee’s Alma Center, JAC Patrissi from the 10 to 10 hotline, and Sara Krall, Homicide Prevention Coordinator from End Abuse Wisconsin.   For more information about our partners, please visit:
