Rainbow House is collaborating with the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office in expanding the number of forensic evidence cameras available for Law Enforcement to document the hidden signs of domestic violence. This grant is made possible through the Oconto Crime Prevention Board, which increases public awareness of and provides financial assistance to crime prevention programs in Oconto County, Wisconsin. Financial support is given to existing programs and for the implementation of new crime prevention programs that break the crime triangle.

Rainbow House is proud to be a partner agency of Tri-County United Way, who fights for the education, health and financial stability of every person in every community. TCUW serve Marinette and Oconto Counties in Wisconsin and Menominee County in Michigan. Our annual support for 2021 is an award for $10,000, which helps support our ability to staff the agency 24/7.

Thank you to Provident Health for supporting a $11,000 grant to begin offering the services of a Licensed Clinical Therapist at Rainbow House. The purpose of the Provident Health Foundation is to improve and sustain the health and well-being of the people who live in Marinette and Menominee Counties and ensure them access to affordable quality acute hospital care.

A grant through WisTAF (Wisconsin Trust Account Foundation) provides civil legal aid for survivors we serve in the amount of $22,500. WisTAF works with civil legal aid organizations in Wisconsin to increase access to justice. We oversee funds and invest in services and projects to help people resolve legal problems. The Rainbow House is a proud recipient of a grant to support the work of our Oconto Outreach Office from the Basic Needs Giving Partnership of the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation, a funding collaborative which includes funds from the U.S. Venture Open Fund for Basic Needs, the J.J. Keller Foundation, and other community donors. The funds provided will support the operating costs of our Oconto Outreach office, including rent, utilities, and a fund for client emergency needs, for the next three years. The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation is committed to continually improving the quality of life in our area. By leading strategic partnerships, convening leaders, experts and residents and utilizing collaborative resources, we advance important community initiatives.

Thanks to the M&M Community Foundation Women’s Giving Circle for a grant in their 2021 cycle. The Rainbow House was awarded $1,250 to provide health and wellness products for survivors of domestic violence. Personal Hygiene is personal! We are grateful for the opportunity to provide clients in shelter with products they select to match their individual hair and skin types.
